bmillDrumree continue to look for their first win in the Senior Hurling Championship following this defeat to Boardsmill.The game was switched from the water logged Kildalkey to Brews Hill Navan which was in excellent condition.

Boardsmill, 2011 Intermediate champions led at the break 0-6 to 0-5. Thomas Reilly got the games opening score and after 15 minutes the sides were level at 0-4 each with all of Drumree's scores coming from the stick of James Reilly. Both teams were guilty of many missed chances until James Reilly got his fifth point of the half on the 28th minute to give Drumree the lead. Things went from bad to worst for Boardsmill when Jimmy Pratt was shown a straight red card soon after for an off the ball incident with Ciaran Kenny. Despite their numerical disadvantage 'The Mill' rallied and points from Robert McLoughlin and Jim Bird gave them a slim lead at the break. 

Boardsmill increased their advantage early in the second half through Robert McLoughlin and Thomas Reilly. Drumree's first score of the second half came after an inspirational catch & clearance by Shane Troy who was body checked as he cleared and won a free 45 yards out which David Troy slotted over. Soon after Brendan Walsh popped over an impressive point when running away from the goals. In truth Drumree had the posession and chances to win this game along with a numerical advantage but it was their wide tally that would prove costly as they racked up 20 wides over the hour. It was Boardsmill who kicked on and Niall Weir, Reilly and Thomas Leonard put Boarsmill 0-11 to 0-7 ahead. Reillys point coming from a 65' after Gareth Rooney had cleared the ball from the Drumree goal mouth. The game could of been over as a contest after 3/4 of an hour had it not been for some resolute defending at the back by Shane Troy & Keith Commons. A 53rd minute point from David Troy left a goal between the teams and the game in the melting pot, As Drumree pushed up the field for the elusive goal,B
oardsmill twice broke on the counter attack and when Conor Darby pointed from a tight angle the game looked up, Niall Weir followed it up with his second to close out the game.
